The Music Ministry at
Clarksdale Baptist Church is well-rounded and offers many ways to
serve and worship through music. Our choirs are the perfect
place to put your talents to work. With choir groups whose
members range in age from three years old to over 90 years old, you
are sure to find a group that fits. You don't have to be able
to read music to join - you will learn as you go. Even the
youngest members begin to learn about harmony and how to sing
different parts. Soloists are encouraged and well nourished
here. We have many members who have great backgrounds in music
and who are always happy to share their knowledge and talent.
You just can't beat the thrill of being part of a good musical
production, leading in worship, and helping present the
Gospel! Oh, and the fellowship is great!! |

Pre-school Choir
3 - 5 Year Olds Wednesday,
5:30 p.m. |
Tiny little singers learning to make a
very big sound. This group begins to teach little ones how to
sing together in a group, how to follow the director, how to be
brave in front of all those people in the audience! They are
introduced to the music of the Church and they learn many spiritual
truths through song. It's a fun place! |

Music Makers
1st - 3rd Grade
Wednesday,
5:30 p.m. |
Music Makers begin learning
more exciting things about music. They get a hint of what harmony
and rhythm are all about and they begin learning more difficult
music. As they perform their music for parents and friends,
they are learning to be worship leaders. Music Makers combine
with Young Musicians to present one or two musical programs per
year. These programs include solos and drama and the children
get to share a Bible lesson with the whole congregation. How
cool!! |

Young Musicians
4th - 6th Grade
Wednesday,
5:30 p.m. |
The Young Musicians are a
really busy group! They are learning to sing in parts, how to
count the music, more complicated rhythm patterns - so many exciting
things! Solo voices begin to emerge and talent flourishes
here. Bible stories come to life through drama and
musicals. The children begin to understand that sharing God's
love through music truly is a special gift. Young Musicians
also get to spend six days in the summer at Gulf Shores Baptist
Assembly for the Young Musicians Camp. At the Camp, they
participate in music workshops, Bible study, and lots of beachy
recreation - let's go! |

Majority
7th - 12th Grade

God and I make a
Majority! This fine choir sings full four-part harmony.
They are the choir for the Sunday evening services. They go on
a choir tour each summer. They combine with the rest of the
Youth Group to go on a mission trip each summer. They lead in
worship. This is truly a busy group! |

Adult Sanctuary Choir
College and Up
Wednesday,
7:00 p.m. |
The Adult Sanctuary Choir is
the main service choir for Clarksdale Baptist Church. If you
like to sing a variety of musical styles, then this is the place for
you! Musical styles range from traditional Southern Gospel to
classical style and everything in between. You don't have to
read music to join you just have to want to sing and lead in worship
- you will learn to do the rest. You can also look forward to
being a part of terrific Easter and Christmas productions.

Lamplighters

This is one of the most fun
groups in the music ministry! The Lamplighters know how to
sing, praise, share, and have a great time! This fine choir also
sings a wide variety of music and they participate in choral
festivals each year. They never fail to earn anything less
than a Superior rating - not too bad, huh? |

Jubilation I
1st - 6th Grade Tuesday,

Get ready to ring!
Jubilation I is a beginners hand bell choir. Members learn to
count, read the notes, understand rhythm, and how to work as a team
to make music. |

Jubilation II
7th - 12th Grade Sunday,
5:00 p.m. |
Jubilation II takes up right
where Jubilation I leaves off. Skills are honed, difficulty
levels are raised, and teamwork is strengthened. |

Hand bell Choir
College
and Up Sunday,
6:00 p.m. |
The
Adult Hand bell Choir is the major service bell choir. It
doesn't matter if you've never even seen a hand bell, much less know
how to play one. Join in and you will learn everything you
need know. If you can count to six, you've got it made! |
